"I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus has taken hold of me."

It is a brilliant and beautiful thing to know that life is not random, that our design was intentional, and that we are made in the image and likeness of the one who holds that intention. Without claiming some special status it might be reasonable to assume that the Lord God intends us to be in his creation for a purpose: to care for his creation - including the planet and its inhabitants.

Sometimes we get stuck in the rush of life, or our perspective is overtaken by the agenda of those around us with a different worldview, but it should be a Christian necessity to ask the Lord to show us the ways that our lives allow us to serve Him, care for others, steward creation.

Paul says in Ephesians: " For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is from God - not by works, so that no-one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do."
